akwito processes company data published under a legal obligation (establishment name and address, VAT number, register identifiers). Since sole traders are natural persons, any objection or erasure request concerning this data may be sent to the publisher, who answers within one month.

Customer accounts contain an email address, a hashed password (bcrypt) and the history of checks run. This history is never modified; it is kept for 10 years while the subscription is active, 12 months otherwise, then deleted. After a cancellation, deletion only happens once a 90-day notice period has run. The database is backed up within the European Union; these backups are kept for 30 days, then deleted, so data erased from the service is gone from them within 45 days at most.

Processing and third-party data

On behalf of its customers, akwito processes the VAT numbers, names and addresses of their own customers; some of these identify natural persons, notably sole traders. The legal bases for this processing are performance of the contract and the legal obligation to retain the proof produced. An erasure request concerning a proof already established is refused under Article 17(3)(b) GDPR, until the end of the account’s retention period.

Data is hosted in the European Union. A watched number or an imported batch is actually deleted at the customer’s request. No data is reused from one account to another, resold, or enriched for a third party.

Cookies

A single session cookie (ak_session), strictly necessary for authentication, a technical anti-CSRF cookie and a cookie that remembers your chosen language (ak_lang). No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics.
